Welcome Mary Claire Weaver!

Mary Claire Weaver at Modern Trousseau's Nashville bridal shop

Modern Trousseau would like to welcome Mary Claire Weaver as she takes the helm of our Charleston flagship boutique July 16th.

As a native of Greenwood, SC, Mary Claire earned her BS in Management from Clemson and BA in Interior Design from Queens University of Charlotte. Since 2012 she has lived and worked in Nashville where she helped to launch Modern Trousseau’s newest flagship boutique.

In addition to sending Nashville’s brides down the aisle in amazing lace and silk wedding dresses, Weaver has also played stylist to the Music City’s fashion luminaries, working with designer Callie Tein to create a line of custom evening wear. Most recently, she dressed the co-hosts of Nashville’s annual Swan Ball to rave reviews, and continues to work with stylists, socialites, and celebrities who want luxurious, custom-made gowns for the red carpet.

Although she will miss her brides and the many friends she has made in the area, Mary Claire is very excited to begin her new role in South Carolina. She loves spending time on the water, antiquing, and walking her dog, so Charleston is a natural fit for her.

“I have watched our showroom grow from the construction phases to become a thriving boutique in the heart of this amazing city, so my transition to Charleston will be bittersweet. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to make my mark in Nashville, and I look forward to the challenges that await me in another amazing city in the job I love!”

Stop by our King Street flagship to meet Mary Claire, or make an appointment for our signature couture experience. To learn more, call (843) 722-6300, or send an email to charleston@moderntrousseau.com

Beauty’s Warm Glow

Congratulations Ginny! Our gorgeous bride was married this past October, and used the rich, seasonal colors of Charleston as a backdrop to the golden hues of her wedding. Ginny chose Modern Trousseau’s fit-to-flare ‘Autumn’, and customized it to her taste by choosing to have the lace run to the edge of the bodice in a complexion-flattering ivory, along with a beaded sash at the natural waist.

The final look was a perfect match to the high-style, vintage vibe of The William Aiken House reception. The photographer’s use of natural light and the fabulous locations made Ginny look like she could have stepped out of one of the estate’s grand, oil portraits. From her delicate, lace veil, down to her silk, Manolo Blahnik heels, this Charleston bride was a masterpiece!
